Android and IOS App (Location and messaging access)

General information for the app: This app is used as a travel planning and health awareness around the use of alcohol
Kind of development: New app from scratch
Description of every page/module: 1- Home Screen
Loading from screen logo to 4 large buttons around a centralised circle logo. Buttons are labelled as: “Health”, “travel” “activate” and “advice”

2 “Activate” – When pressed button graphic changes colour.
Activate when pressed asks the user to select how they are planning to get home this evening. The option selected will arm or overwrite features located elsewhere in the app.
Q1: How do you plan to get home? (Options)
- Designated Driver
User will then need to select from their list of contacts who the driver is. This will enter the phone number elsewhere on the app to call later.
- Taxi
User will be asked to enter the number of their chosen taxi company. This will enter the phone number elsewhere on the app to call later.
- Lift
User will be asked to choose from their contacts list who they will receive a lift from. This will enter the phone number elsewhere on the app to call later.
- Bus
User will be asked to enter the time of the last bus. This will set a reminder that will prompt them 30 minutes and 15 minutes before the last bus is due to leave.

3“Health” – New Screen/Page
Similar functionality as existing app – Calculating the number of drinks for units, calories and time and number of steps required.
Summary Box summarising:
o Total number of Alcohol Units
o Total number of Calories
o Time required to leave the system
o Number of steps required to burn off the calories

Pop up warning feature – Warning you have reached your total recommended daily allowance
- Warning you have reached your total recommended weekly allowance
- You are x times over your recommended daily allowance
Settings – Ability to enter sex, height, weight and age – Which will adjust the recommended daily allowance figure.
3 buttons running along the top “Log”, “Reset”, “settings”
Log will total the number of drinks entered below and calculate.
Reset will reset drinks entered below to 0
Settings will determine the recommended daily allowance figure

Opens web browser and searches using the term ‘taxi companies”
“Pick me up”
When clicked sends current location and a pre determined message via phones sms to a pre-selected contact.

“Call Lift”
When clicked will dial a pre selected number from phones contacts
“Unsafe”
Sends pre determined sms and location to a pre-selected contact from phone
“Safe”
Sends pre determined sms only to pre-selected contact from phone

“Time”
Sets a reminder with push notifications to come through at 30 minutes and 15 minutes prior to time to set.

“Settings”
Here there will be the option to pre-select contacts from phone list for each of the options

5“Advice”
A single page filled with buttons which when pressed bring up a pop up text box.
Description of requirements/features: 1. Requires access to contacts list
2. Requires access to location services
3. Requires access to web browser and search engine
4. Requires access to dial a selected number (not native)
5. Requires access to send text messages to chosen number
6. Requires access to set alarm
Extra notes: Graphics, colour schemes and calculations will all be provided.

This is development of an existing app which currently only works with calculating numbers of drinks.
