Description
AI Visual Inspection App for Cleaning & Property Setup (iPhone + Android)
Y el texto en inglés:
We are looking for a programmer or small development team to create a very simple mobile app/web app for cleaning control and vacation rental property setup.
The MOST IMPORTANT part of this project is AI image comparison.
The main idea is that every room or area of the property has a “reference photo” showing exactly how it should look. After cleaning or setup, the staff takes a new photo with the phone, and the AI compares both images automatically to detect visual differences.
Examples of what the AI should detect:
* bed not properly made,
* cushions/pillows not correctly positioned,
* missing decorative objects,
* missing items inside the fridge,
* sunbeds not positioned correctly,
* objects out of place,
* messy areas,
* visible missing items,
* cleaning or presentation issues.
The app should clearly show the detected differences, ideally highlighting them visually on the image or describing what is wrong.
Basic workflow:
1. The administrator creates areas/zones of the property:
kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, living room, terrace, pool area, fridge, wardrobes, etc.
2. A reference photo is uploaded for each area.
3. Cleaning staff opens the app from their phone.
4. They go through each area step by step.
5. They take a new photo after finishing.
6. The AI compares the new image with the reference image.
7. The app indicates whether everything is correct or shows the detected differences.
8. A supervisor can review everything from another phone or computer.
The app must work on both iPhone and Android, preferably as a web app or hybrid app.
Very important:
* Extremely easy to use.
* Very visual interface.
* Fast mobile experience.
* Designed for non-technical cleaning staff.
The first version can be simple and “homemade.” We mainly want to test the concept this summer in a real vacation rental property. If it works well, we plan to improve it later and potentially commercialize it.
We are specifically looking for someone with experience in:
* AI visual analysis,
* image comparison,
* computer vision,
* object detection,
* or similar technologies.
Please include:
* your relevant AI/image analysis experience,
* recommended technologies,
* estimated cost for a first working version,
* estimated timeline,
* and examples of similar projects if available.

Are you planning one fixed reference photo per area or multiple reference conditions for different property setups?
-

* How consistent can the photo-taking process realistically be in the properties — same angle/position every time, or should the AI tolerate larger variations in perspective and lighting?
* Do you mainly want the MVP to detect obvious visual/setup problems first, or should it already attempt more advanced cleanliness validation as well?
* Will each property have its own unique reference images and inspection rules, or should there eventually be reusable templates across multiple apartments/houses?
* Should the supervisor review process include manual approval/rejection and notes, or only AI pass/fail feedback initially?
* Do you want the AI to visually highlight differences directly on the image (bounding boxes/heatmaps), or would a simpler “issue detected in this area” workflow be enough for the first version?
* How many properties/rooms do you expect to manage during the summer pilot, since that affects how lightweight or scalable the backend should be initially?
* Is offline capability important for cleaners working in areas with weak internet, or will the app always have stable connectivity?
* Do you already have sample reference photos and real “bad setup” examples available for testing the AI comparison logic early?
-

- Do you want the comparison results to be purely visual (highlighted differences on images), or also include a written explanation of what is wrong in each area?
- Will each property have a fixed set of rooms/zones, or should administrators be able to dynamically add/edit areas and reference images anytime?
- Do you want this system to evolve into a commercial SaaS product later, or is the current focus strictly on an internal pilot test for validation?
