Description
I need 12 calculators put together (potentially more later), using the Calconic site (I have an account there which you will be using) that will be used to calculate inheritance tax for different areas of the world.
So, what you will need to do is find out what the rules and rates are for inheritance tax in different countries and then convert that into a calculator. There are actual calculators out there that can help guide you but for most you'll need to get the info and then build the calculator.
I don't see this as being a massively technical task - it's more about getting all the info and then working out how to convert that to a calculator - though the Calconic site is user friendly and intituitive.
Please apply for this job only if you are committed to conscientiously addressing it. This entails utilising the most recent inheritance tax data readily accessible for the respective countries and accurately implementing it within the Calconic tool.
What you need to consider is that the calculator is seeking to provide a net inheritance amount (in whatever currency) and a total inheritance tax figure (in whatever currency). For many IHT regimes (though not all), the beneficaries will be taxed differently and will, therefore, cascade so, you may have e.g. 1X spouse, 2x siblings, 1x friend. These will all have different tax rates and possibly tax free amounts available to them. It is, therefore: start with total inheritance then, and / or type calculations, to then arrive at two ouputs (net inheritance and total tax paid (for all beneficaries).
Any questions just let me know!

- Are there any specific features or functionalities you would like to include in each calculator? For example, should it calculate inheritance tax based on the total estate value, specific assets, or a combination of both?
- Should the calculators take into account any specific deductions, exemptions, or thresholds that apply to each country's inheritance tax regulations?
- Will the calculators be used solely for personal purposes, or do you require them to be integrated into a website or platform for wider public access?
- How frequently would you like the calculators to be updated? Is there a specific source or timeframe for updating the inheritance tax data we should follow? -
Hi Russel,
If I understood correctly, you want to make an inheritance tax calculator for various countries of the world, so you add 12 countries first and then add more. So your users will be selecting the countries first, and then providing more data to get the calculations for their inheritance tax, right? The part that I don't understand is the budget for this task. Is it 750 per hour, or per calculator, or for the entire project? Please clarify!
