Description
Experience Level: Expert
Hi, I have an existing online store and I’m looking for a developer to help clean it up and optimize how it works. The store is live and selling, but over time a lot of small issues, quick fixes, and inefficient solutions have piled up, and now it needs someone experienced to go through it properly and make things more stable and cleaner.
This is not about building a store from scratch or doing a redesign. I need hands-on development work: reviewing the current setup, fixing obvious bugs, improving performance where it’s clearly slow or bloated, cleaning up messy or redundant code, and resolving small UX issues caused by poor or rushed implementation. Think things that technically work, but shouldn’t really be done this way.
I’m looking for someone who’s comfortable working with existing codebases, understands ecommerce flows (product pages, cart, checkout), and prefers fixing real problems instead of overengineering or rewriting everything. Platform details and access will be shared once we agree on scope and approach.
This is a paid task to start, and if it goes well there will be ongoing work maintaining and improving the store over time.

What platform and tech stack is the store currently running on (e.g., WooCommerce, Shopify, custom PHP), and do you have staging access available so fixes can be tested safely before going live?
-

Could please please confirm the web stacks/languages used in your project?
