New E-commerce site required ASAP

Beautiful, sophisticated, fast e-commerce site required for gift/home/lifestyle store.
Please can you send me proposals and show me any working e-commerce sites you have set up.
I don't have a preference for the platform - MagentoGo and WooCommerce have been recommended to me but I am open to other proposals.
I would like to upload and edit the product info myself, and occasionally other content such as special offers and new background images.
I would really like to have something that looks original. Please see these as examples:

I like the way there is one big image in the background, and the other elements just float on top of it or transparent boxes are overlayed - the space isn't divided up with a big central panel like most websites have...
(The £400 budget is just based on some PPH hourlies ads I have seen)
