Description
Kind of development: New website from scratch
Description of requirements/features: Hello, again, I wonder if my budget is even possible, but is all I have.
I already had an experience with a developer, who initially estimated this, and after days and hours of back and forth, just went and bumped up the fee 3x just when I was ready to pay the deposit. Please don't do this, if the budget is too low for you, simply don't apply, if is slightly higher, ok let me see, send the proposal in.
I would like at this point the minimum necessary for a peer-to-peer marketplace, any code language and open source software you can use (though at the beginning I was into Ruby on Rails and Sharetribe), as long as it flows well, and in the future is easy to add features and things to it, and scale it into a bigger website.
IMPORTANT: What makes me come to PPH and not to Arcadier or Sharetribe, is that **design** is very important for me and what I'm trying to do. I'm attaching some samples of how I envisioned the art to be (forget the Shopping cart and non-simple things), at this point it doesn't have to follow that precise design or template. But I would like to be able to determine things like background, colours and fonts. I don't want white boring spaces on it or generic fonts or designs, big no no. Please reassure me that you understood this. If you were able to do the page almost exactly as the samples attached, big plus.
Pages:
* Menu with categories
+ A landing homepage
+ A browse area for each category where items show up, preferably randomly (like pininterest). Maybe a way to organize them, and maybe search is not necessary at this point.
+ A page per item
+ A profile page per seller with all their items.
+ An upload page.
+ A check out page.
+ An About and contact page.
+ Terms of Service.
+ I think a basic orders page and tracking page for the sellers would be very important too.
Others:
+ Payment integration, paypal or stripe, whichever is easier, for now.
+ A registration system, everyone registers to buy, maybe with social media, but at this point I would like it not for everyone to be a seller, but for me to invite them. Is this doable?
I'm probably missing something basic, please ask a question if so.
I already got the domain and a couple of droplets with Digital Ocean.
Also please looking for someone who can speak English well enough to explain things properly if needed (or Spanish is ok), and is pro-active, don't be a robot, if you see I'm making a mistake, or that something can be made better, more efficient, simpler or cheaper than the way I'm saying it, please say so, it would lead to more work for you when things (hopefully) start to expand.
Thank you,
I really hope to find someone I can work with for a long time.

Hi Aidan, Wow! Great artwork. Will you be providing all artwork and imagery or are you looking for your Freelancer to do that? Henry
Aidan H.03 Jun 2017Hello Henry, thank you for your message. Yes I would love for it to have my designs, I can provide them as PSDs, if it can be almost exact to my samples (although more proportionate, as it is some fonts are a bit big), big big plus. But I don't know if this ads to the fee greatly? my budget is as stated :(, if so I'm still open to for it not to be so exact as long as I can pay for it.
Hexia Web Services Limited03 Jun 2017Hi Aidan, thanks for that. I could certainly use your imagery, but I would prefer them as jpeg or png files and I would use them as background images to fill the width of the screen. You would need to design them carefully but your imagery is what would make it work. I have another question: What is it you're selling? Is it imagery etc that will be downloaded from the web or is it products to be delivered through the post? Henry
