Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking for a UK based freelancer (must be UK) to work on a Big Commerce Website Development project.
There are currently three websites on alternative platforms (EKM and Shopify) and we would like to move these to Big Commerce, (three website versions) with a new design, branding and so on.
Each site style will be identical - it will only be the branding and colours that will require updating based on a brand guideline we provide.
We may require some simple wireframes at the start to ensure we are happy with the potential layout of product pages and category pages for example too.
The sites are established - so things like 301 Redirect knowledge is essential.
The person for the work will be able to take front page design and use the drag and drop feature to recreate in Big Commerce - with some possiblity of custom coding to make things just right - but this will be discussed at the start.
Thereafter, the person will be required to ensure all products and information is transferred to the new websites, payment providers set up again on Big Commerce and integrated in to Linnworks, the channel manager we are using.
Someone with a good eye for design is essential, as well as someone who is available solely for the job - not fitting it in around other large projects, as we will need it done swiftly.
Essential skills for the project are:
Knowledge of Big Commerce
Strong coding skills
Attention to Detail
Ability to follow a brief and brand book
Available for communications on a regular basis
Experience setting up 301 Redirects
Good portfolio to see
If you are interested in this project, please reply with the line - I WORK WITH BIG COMMERCE to be considered.
Due to us being a large organisation we need someone UK based who is available Monday to Friday in our working hours.
We expect this project to take a little while (8 to 10 weeks full-time) so please bear this in mind when contacting me.
We would like to speak to people who are interested in the project via Zoom and will make a decision based on hour portfolio of work. your design skills and your technical skills.
It's potentially a nice job and if you are looking for something ongoing for the next few weeks it's a good piece of work.
