Scrape Attributes / Product Filter from Site
I need to copy attributes from a website and add them to our product table in WooCommerce.
I would prefer if script could create & label columns, and upsert rows directly into WooCommerce table (making a backup first!)
Alternatively we can provide an exported file.
There are about 40 URLs to scrape, with about 120 total attributes (not all unique) and about 1000 SKUs. Should be easy to do in Beautiful Soup or Scrapy.
Target site is well organised with well-structured element IDs.
Steps
1. Scrape Attributes / Product Filters (attribute) from site (about 120 attributes)
2. Name each attribute logically
3. Scrape each SKU under each attribute (about 1000 SKUs)
4. Create column for each attribute in table
5. Write 1 against every SKU row matching the attribute column
>>> To prove you've read this, please tell me what is that stuff you put on toast that has bits of orange peel floating in it.
