PHP, MYSQL, HTML, CSS changes/additions to finish Travel Website

I’m looking for someone with solid experience with PHP, MYSQL, HTML and CSS to make the final alterations, additions, and tweaks needed before launching my travel website. The vast majority of the work on the website has been completed. The Website contains custom PHP code written by a few different programmers (it was not created in a CMS).

While there are several tasks outlined below, many of them are minor tweaks to the existing code. But some are more time-consuming features needed to be integrated into the website.

I’ve given a brief description of each task, as well as provided some attachments. I apologize for not being totally fluent in tech talk… So, if anything seems vague, confusing or unclear, PLEASE ask questions or for clarification BEFORE you bid!

IMPORTANT: Please add 2-3 hours EXTRA onto your bid, to cover any small changes in the scope that arise after work begins. Also, please let me know if any of the optional items are included in your price.

Work will start within a 1-4 days of bid acceptance. I'd like the job completed in a few weeks, if possible. But willing to be flexible.

FEATURED LISTINGS SLIDESHOW
1. Extend the time of the first title in current slideshow. Needs to stay up for 3 seconds (at full strength - not faded) to give the user a chance to read. Then it should fade into the second title (description) which should stay up for another 3 seconds before going to the next slide.

2. If there are spaces left over after “paid” slideshow listings, automatically pull slideshow listings from the 30 listings in each region with the quickest “response_time”. (See #5 in this section, as well as “Owner Signup — Response Time #1”.) I need to be able to manually turn this feature on or off for each of the 13 regions. I’d also like a feature that allows me to manually add a specific listing to the slideshow.

3. When the Slide is clicked, it should take user to the full rental listing, with other Slideshow Listings from that region showing in the sidebar.

4. Add a payment option for inclusion in Featured Listing Slideshow. When owner signs a property up for the slideshow, there needs to be a validation/check that there is room available in that month (30 spots are available per region) before accepting their payment. Otherwise they should receive an error message and a chance to sign up for different month. Paid listings take precedence over the “response_time” listings.

OWNER ADMIN — PAYMENT:
1. Add a field to the current “Admin Payment Panel” so I can add a “promo code” for owners to use to activate their free listing. A blank “promo code” field needs to be added to current payment options, prompting owner for the code when they sign up for a free listing. They should receive an error message if they do not fill in the code, or fill it in incorrectly.

SEARCH PAGE — ADD SEARCH BY ZIPCODE
1. Add Search by Zipcode to Search Page & Home Page. There seem to be several inexpensive prewritten scripts for this function. Need suggestions on which well-written/inexpensive script is best for this site. Or you can write your own, though I’m wanting to keep the cost of this task low. (The script prices I saw were from $3 and up). Here’s one site I found with several options… http://www.hotscripts.com/category/php/scripts-programs/zip-code-locators/). Once we agree on the best script, I will pay for it separately (you don’t need to purchase it). This code then needs to be integrated into the script.

2. Add a few more regions to the database for the listing form and search page. (I am in the process of dividing up one of the regions into 3 in the MYSQL database.)

3. Alter code so that clicking on the map region finds ALL rentals in that region. (it is currently set up to take you to the “Advanced Search Page” for that region.) Add a clickable link for “Advanced Search” above the ALL results for that region, so user can do a more advanced search in that region.

HOME PAGE — MINI-SEARCH
1. Add a mini-search function to homepage and results pages. It should look like “Search by Details” p. 1 on attached “home&results.pdf”

SEARCH RESULTS
1. Add “filter” function to results pages. This is not a new search. This filters the results to refine them further. See “finetune your search” on attached “home&results.pdf”, p 2.

2. Include 5-8 “Sort by” options on Search Results page. See attached “home&results.pdf”, p 2.

RENTAL LISTING FORM
1. Add/Change dropdowns & checkboxes (and integrate with database) on current “4-Part Rental Listing Form”. Align label with dropdowns/text fields. Add fields for Property Address (Street, city, state, zipcode). Add field for Property Owners, if different from “Owner”. (Might want to change name of “Owner” field to “Person Listing Rental”, to avoid confusion…). Please see “Add/Edit Rental.pdf” for the changes I want to the 4-part form. “Edit-Add Rental Adds.pdf shows the changes to page 3.”

2. Have “Title” on p. 2 of listing form only allow 40 characters, with a simple characters left countdown?

3. Give error message when certain words are used within Main Description of page 2 of “4-part Rental Listing Form”. Excluded words might include swear words, or “www”, “.com”, “dotcom”, etc… I’d like a section and interface added to the Admin Panel where I can add these words or phrases. OR you can show me how to add words or phrases to the code which makes them excluded from what is allowed in the description. These changes need to be made all files (3? 4?) associated with adding a listing.

OWNER SIGNUP “RESPONSE TIME”
1. Add a new section to current Admin Panel called “Response”. This section shows brief info on all current listings: Title, ID number, region, number of days signed up, and it allows me to sort this list by 4-5 options.

2. Add a field “contact_time” next to each listing in the new “Response” section. This field allows me to manually add a “contact time” what time I initially contacted each listing (year, day, time using 24 hour clock).

3. Add an auto field called “response_time” to “Response” section of current Admin Panel for each listing. (This equals “contact_time” minus “subscribe_time”). When the owner lists their property, “response_time” is automatically calculated, and listed next to the property in Admin “Response” Panel.

RENTAL LISTING PAGE (each rental site’s actual info page)
1. Add code to Rental Listing pages to prevent headings (e.g. Policies, Basics, Kitchen on p3 of “attached “Edit-Add Rental Adds.pdf”.) from displaying if search result returns no data. If there is data, make these results display in two columns.

SECURITY
1. Evaluate/add security for Payment info and contact emails (header injections, etc...) Give suggestions for better database & site security.

REPORTS
1. Create Reports on “New Listings” added to site, “Contact Emails sent to Owners”, “Account about to expire”. I exceeded uploads, so I added details about the reports I'd like to the end of attachment "Edit-Add Rental Adds.pdf".

2. Add section to current “Admin Panel” to allow me run reports manually, or change the time frame of how often these reports are generated and sent to me via email.

OWNER CONTACT FORM
1. Alter the “Contact Owner Form” at the bottom of the Rental Listing Pages to validate the email address. Make message text field larger & add scroll bar. Fix dropdown spacing on contact form (I don’t want Name or email bold). Fix alignment of Button.

2. On the actual contact email that is sent to the owner, add a logo to top of email, style type, and change current “subject” line.

CSS:
1. Fix alignment on buttons and alter CSS to make Admin Calendar be more condensed. Make slight appearance changes (borders, margins, etc..) to Listing Calendar.

2. Make width of Login/Password and Subscribe text field width in the sidebar more consistent across different browsers (Currently there’s a big difference in appearance between Safari & Firefox).

3. Fix CSS issue (position of thumbnails) on Rental Listing Page. Tweak alignment to ensure layout works well with both horizontal & vertical main photo.

4. Make slight changes to the Listing Guestbook (how the person's name appears, & some CSS spacing changes) on Rental Listing Page.

5. Adjust CSS/alignment in Guestbook.

BROWSERS
1. Check for browser compatibility.

OPTIONAL
1. Instruct me what code I change to adjust the width of the Iframe that shows up in the admin panel.

2. Instruct me how to add line breaks in the PHP code for the blog titles.

3. Suggestions for faster page loading.
