Description

Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the business: Stock
Database management system (DBMS): MySQL
Description of requirements/functionality: One of our customers has a database that is Part Microsoft SQL and Part Access Database.

It uses access on the workstaion to access the database on the Server.

The customer want this converted to an MySQL database with a browser based client.

There will be two parts to the prject, part one which I am looking for now is to do a direct conversion.

Part two (not part of this bid) will involve a lot of additional changes and possibly a support contract to maintain the database ongoing.

I have a hosted demo of the database if you would like to inspect it - please contact me

I Would prefer someone who has already undertaken something similar and has a framework to build upon.

FInally, please only bid if you can fully undertake this project - no tinkerers please
Specific technologies required: MySQl, MSSQL, Access
Extra notes: This is fairly urgent as company expanding.

Fixed Price only

Please let me know timescales (worst case scenario)

Just to clarify, we want rid of Access and MSSQL completely – the client should be developed so it can be accessesed via a Browser

    You can access the demo server via Remote Desktop using these settings:

    IP: 85.13.217.37
    Username: Administrator
    Password: FFtest

    As stated, I need Access to go and a new front end via web browser.

    Could you let me know when you are done as I need to let a couple of other people have a look as well.

    Hi Mark, Especially as you are after a fixed price quote, a realistic accurate one cannot be given without first being able to assess the current version which is supposed to be directly converted. So, just let me know how the hosted demo can be accessed. Cheers, Tom
