Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
1) Download Tableau Desktop
2) Export Data
- Collective Bargaining Power - https://stats.oecd.org/Index.aspx?DataSetCode=CBC
- Trade Union Density - https://stats.oecd.org/Index.aspx?DataSetCode=TUD
3) Calculate Ratios
- Collective bargaining coverage rate corresponds to the ratio of employees covered by collective agreements, divided by all wage earners with right to bargaining.
- Ratio of wage and salary earners that are trade union members, divided by the total number of wage and salary earners. Density is calculated using survey data, wherever possible, and administrative data adjusted for non-active and self-employed members otherwise.
4) Import into Tableau
5) Visualise on a map
It should look like this - http://www.oecd.org/employment/collective-bargaining.htm
https://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/maps_build.htm
https://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/buildexamples_maps.htm
6) Add a dynamic date filter
- This should allow me to move through the years or include several years data at the same time
- https://interworks.com/blog/ljensen/2019/03/08/tableau-class-notes-filtering-with-a-date-slider/
In order to apply for this role. Please add your initials and a link to an example tableau workbook you have done. Please feel free to use this assignment to create a demo. I will pick the most effective candidate.
