Pull data from Gmail to Calendar to automate event creation

I need to know how to pull data from an email in Gmail into the Google calendar and create events automatically?

We get regular email confirmations that a customer has booked a camping option from our website. Then our staff have to manually create an event in the calendar and copy and paste this booking info across. This wastes a lot of man hours.

Is there a way to automate this process? So that as soon as an email arrives into the inbox, it reads the fields like subject line and name/dates etc, and then immediately creates an event in the calendar with certain data from the email with the event being for the duration of the booking dates from the email?

Is there a script of sorts we can write to automate this process?
