Power BI - Sales Reports and Metrics (phase 2)

This project seeks an experienced Power BI developer to expand upon an existing sales reporting dashboard. The initial phase developed a basic dashboard visualizing key metrics by region, however the client now requires enhanced analytics and custom visuals to gain deeper insights.

The selected freelancer will work closely with the client's analytics team to understand evolving business needs. Additional data sources containing customer and product details will be integrated to facilitate segmentation of sales performance. Dynamic date filtering and quick filters for flexible exploration of historical trends will be implemented. Interactive charts comparing YOY growth and custom visualizations mapping sales territories are envisioned.

Data modeling expertise is essential to optimize queries and simplify maintenance of the reports as sources expand over time. Visual design skills will shape an intuitive, visually appealing interface publishing insights clearly. Advanced DAX knowledge and capability with measures, calculated columns and relationships will be leveraged to deliver actionable insights beyond basic metrics.

Security and sharing of the dashboard externally with stakeholders will be configured. Documentation of data model, queries and visualization logic will be provided to the client. Refactoring optimization of the existing base dashboard may also be required as per feedback. The freelancer is expected to be highly skilled with Power BI service and collaboration features. A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivery of a robust, maintainable and visually appealing solution within the agreed timeline is essential for this role.
