Excel Spreadsheet

We have an excel spreadsheet that we need some desperate data extraction on and we cant do it our selves. We have 78 students and each student can have from 1 to 3 separate holidays per Term. We need to be able to group all the students that have outstanding information for the 3 holidays (if they are grouped this limits having to send individual bespoke emails to each student). The problem we have is some are outstanding 1 holiday, some all 3 holidays and some 2 of three holidays etc. I think the number of variables is 27 for the 3 separate holidays? In short we need an easy & quick way that we can collate the information in order to send them a reminder on a weekly basis. Therefore it should read like:
23 students are outstanding holidays 1,2 & 3
18 are outstanding holidays 2 & 3 only
10 are outstanding holiday 1 & 2 only
etc
