Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: One page site
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Num. of web pages/modules: 1
Description of requirements/features: Wordpress parent theme update and move location (on same URL)
Hello and thanks for looking at this job listing. Before going any further please make sure you can commit to the following requirements:
• Available UK time between 9am - 5pm
• Able to respond to emails within 1-2 hrs
• Available to chat on Skype or Phone
• Must send over 3 examples of Wordpress Sites you have worked on and what you did for them
I have a Wordpress site that we have a child theme for but the mobile menu does not work.
This is the theme used:
http://jellythemes.com/themeselector/?theme=candywp
I believe that the update I have for the theme will correct this. We need someone to manually update the theme and once signed off by client we need it to be moved location on the same URL.
Here is a break down of what I need:
1. Check that the update theme files provided will result in the same mobile menu from here:
http://jellythemes.com/themeselector/?theme=candywp
2. The site will need to be backed up and be able to completely restore the site as it is if anything goes wrong (I assume this is done as a matter of corse by professional Wordpress developers). Please let me know how you will do this and what software you will use?
3. Screen grab the current site so all styling and content can be checked against new theme. Again let me know how you will do this?
4. Update the parent theme using the provided .zip update. Please let me know how you will do this.
5. Check the content and style is the same as before. Make sure the mobile menu now works like the demo site.
6. Await client sign off
7. Move site from /wordpress to the main URL
8. Final payment will be made.
Please get back to me about each step so I can make sure my instructions are clear. I would like to select someone by Monday 27th and have steps 1-5 complete by Wednesday 5th if not before. We have lot's of Wordpress work coming up and would be great to find someone we can use time and time again.
Thanks for you time in reading this and getting back to us.
Kind Regards,
Grahame
