Hi,
Hope you are doing well. I can check the PHP code and confirm that there are any security vulnerabilities there. But before that if you are using a shared hosting, any application hosted in the host will case these issues. Also need to make our server secure. Hope this helps. Is it possible to discuss? -

What platform are the site built on? Who are you hosting with?
-

Is this a custom website? Is it built in any framework such as Laravel? Or is it using Wordpress or similar?
-

I assume if you know and understand its a brute force attack, that it is on the wp-login section. If so save yourself the money and just install a brute force prevention plugin. One is included in JetPack, but you can also go further an dsetup iThemes Security, to lock the site down further.
Of course, this helps in some ways but if your site has any custom code especially. Then there could be attack vectors open. In which case, you may need a professional to close them...which I can help with.
Anyway, I hope this helps. -
