I would like to update my website

I want to update my website – www.williameckersley.com. There are a number of changes I wish to make:

- New homepage – first I will need some advice to decide between 3/4 options that I’ve drawn up.
- Change the typeface to Optima, or another typeface – I’d like to see what they look like first though.
- Discuss gallery slideshow options – I’m not sure the forward/back arrows are that visible and should the images be larger?
- Help with SEO for the site.

To do this, you will firstly need to advise me whether to keep the old theme, get a new one for Wordpress, or get an entirely new CMS. Updating the old theme will require new code (as I can’t make the changes with the dashboard options), so a new theme or CMS might be better. However since I will populate the site with content myself to save your time, keeping all the existing content and structure has some advantages.

I would like to work with someone who either has English as a first language, or is extremely fluent. If you are based in London, it might be useful to meet very briefly to discuss things, otherwise, I’d like to start with a chat on the phone or Skype. A good knowledge of photography and/or visual art portfolio sites would be useful too.
