Help with pagination and self-canonical with RealPlaces theme

Hi there,

Our website is an estate agent website using RealPlaces theme, it is part customised with child theme. We duplicated then modified a page template to display properties of a certain type and location. It is all working fine except for two problems:

1. Where it says "XX Properties found" it is displayed correctly on first page, but incorrectly on paginated pages.
2. Second problem is with Yoast's canonical url on paginated pages. Currently all of the paginated pages point to parent. We'd like it to self-canonical.

We don't have the above problems on other areas of this website, just on our customised template pages.
