Description
Experience Level: Expert
General information for the website: Customized WPSC plugins are no longer sending correct totals to PayPal
Num. of web pages/modules: 3
Description of every page/module: I have an e-commerce store that is used to fulfill fundraising order forms. The store is built on a *modified* 2 year old version of the WordPress Shopping Cart plugin aka WPSC. WPSC categories are now labeled as individual stores and the WPSC products page displays all products for the selected store.
In addition, item personalization and custom shipping modules were installed. These features add additional costs when items are customized or shipping is enabled on a store.
THE ISSUE THAT I NEED HELP WITH:
All of the sudden, the additional costs for item customizations are not being forwarded to PayPal. They show up throughout the ordering and checkout process in the plugin, then PayPal charges for the base item totals and shipping without the additional cost for customizations. It looks like the personalization cost is being written to the order total and is not showing up in the Admin Sales Order.
Troubleshooting steps taken:
- Disabled and enabled all plugins.
- Upgraded jQuery files to the latest versions.
- Verified that there are warnings, but not errors being thrown with WP debug enabled.
Description of requirements/features: Make the checkout process send the correct total to PayPal including the item customization and shipping costs. This was fixed about 6 months ago by another developer and it has broken again.
I can either provide a backup of the database and WordPress files for you to work locally or you may connect to my machine to review the live site. All changes to the live site must go through a change review. The store cannot go up and down due to coding errors.
Specific technologies required: Wordpress, PHP, WordPress Shopping Cart Plugin, JQuery
Extra notes:
