Description
Experience Level: Expert
I’m looking for a freelance web developer to complete a website that is mostly done. I’m the developer of this site in progress and it’s for an occasional client I work with. But frankly my workload from my main list of clients has become very heavy recently and I’m finding it difficult to find any time to fit in completing this project, thus looking for someone else to complete it.
It is for a UK company that is looking to sell heaters and boilers, as well as servicing, and looking to do instant quotes and selling the products online.
The website itself is completed and built in WordPress. The main feature to complete is an online quote and payment system, similar to the one at https://www.boxt.co.uk but a more scaled down version, in terms of design, etc.
The quote form that is being built uses the WP Cost Estimation & Payment Forms Builder (see link below). Most of the steps are built out at this point, including icon designs, etc. but the following needs to be completed:
• Assigning added costs to some steps. For instance, if someone wants their boiler moved to new location in the house, that would add a cost to the overall total.
• Having someone enter the first part of their postcode and depending on what that postcode is, will add a cost to the overall total. This would likely be done using a custom configuration of a "select" field.
• Setting up the layouts for the resulting boilers based on the user’s quote choices. There’s just over 25 boilers in total. The layout will be pretty simple: boiler image on the left and on the right of that would boiler name, dimensions, overview and a bullet point list of features and benefits. The idea is that once a template is set up for one building out the remaining list of boilers using the same template should be pretty quick.
• Styling out the payment forms, confirmation forms and connecting to a payment gateway.
Any candidate should ideally have worked with WP Cost Estimation & Payment Forms Builder, or some sort of quote system that uses an interface to build out the quote system using a builder type interface.
I will liaise with the client regarding setting up their payment gateway so that can be tied into the form.
I can supply the assets for:
• Spreadsheet showing the costs that are applied to various UK postcodes
• Images and information data for the boilers
If for whatever reason this might require a larger fee, that’s possible but I’d need to run it by my client first. Ideally looking for someone that could complete this on the fee provided (approx 1.5-2 days work)
