I need a bespoke plugin created for WordPress for a course directory. We are a college and our new college website is powered by WordPress. We don't want to use any LMS plugin for this feature so we have decided to outsource the plugin creation on PPH.
Please read the software specification properly. you must be very skilled in PHP and WordPress and have created plugins in the past from scratch.
The plugin must be standalone, which means, we can install, configure and everything should work as necessary without configuring any code manually.

In order to go forward, you must be able to provide draft design proposal on how the features will look on front end and admin end. Designs must be in-line with the branding of our site. Only after I see the designs and plan, i will accept the proposal.

Please find the software spec and data structure attached. Top certs will be given priority, companies with high ratings will be given priority and UK based freelancers TopCert wil lbe given priority.

Please remember: another freelancer has wasted my time. Please do not work on an existing plugin as your base. This plugin must be created from scratch.

    Hi Ali,

    If you require a completely bespoke LMS system, then you're going to need to add at least another zero on to your budget.

    Your current budget would allow for setting up and using a pre-made LMS system, but doesn't scratch the surface of having something custom-made for you.

    I would strongly recommend you do some research into realistic development costs as it seems you don't currently understand the development process and what is actually involved in creating such a system.

    You've been let down previously, I would imagine, because your expectations and budget are completely unrealistic. I would guess it was an offshore developer that let you down...? Trying to save costs by going cheap....? Thought so...

    Can you increase your budget to a realistic amount or are you prepared to lower your requirements? You cannot have both.

    Hi Matthew, Thank you for taking your time to write your thoughts. Unfortunately, you didn't either read the spec properly or you just didn't understand the spec. We already have a fully fledged LMS, some call it Teams along with an MIS which costs us over £250k.
    what i am proposing on this project is simply a directory that feeds data off our MI system. its as simple as it gets. the amount i stated is just correct for the amount of work required and complexity.

    I didn't bother to read your spec. Your job description clearly states that you're not looking to use any LMS plugin and that you would like one bespoke developed.

    I did not miss anything. Your description is pretty clear and your budget is still too low for the work you're asking for. Again, this clearly demonstrates your knowledge here.
