Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
General information for the website: Tech news site
Kind of development: Customization of existing website
Description of every page/module: Three plugins are causing issues with each other site wide
1. Social Warfare
2. Add This
3. Large Twitter Cards
Description of requirements/features: I need three things:
- Large Twitter Cards to display on all old and new posts to social media (see example 1). Currently ok for new, not old.
- My social sharing buttons to display as Floating Share Buttons (Social Warfare - see example 2) on all browsers - currently only Microsoft Edge, not Chrome or Firefox
- My AddThis plugin (currently disabled as it is the main cause of the issue) to display my follow buttons.
All three of these things must work but most importantly the Twitter cards and floating share buttons.
With AddThis, they gave me the following advice:
Installing AddThis as HTML should resolve this issue as there is no plugin to install:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2Rv1g3Fk8g
Once you sign up for an account, all you will have to do is grab the script we provide in the dashboard and copy it somewhere in your theme's footer template.
