Description
We need the following to be included:
1. Customised views/editing rights for different users
2. Different courses and events identifiable through colour-coding
3. Ability to 'book' resources (people and room/venue)
4. Event reminders automatically sent to appropriate team members
5. Availability of different calendar views (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly as well as a scheduling view)
6. Notifications to be emailed to relevant parties when any changes are made to the calendar
The calendar management software/cloud-platform TeamUp has so far been closest to embodying what we are looking for with respect to matching capabilities to our business needs, however we feel this platform is unable to meet our needs overall due to:
- Its inability to treat courses/events, people and room resources uniquely. All of these are just categorised as 'resources' and are just assigned a colour, which makes it very unclear to read for more complex schedules
- Because of the above and because of the limitations in calendar views, it is very difficult for us to effectively use this tool to plan and schedule events.

Hi Bethany.
Just want to clarify; do you want User's to use the application through any Browser or do you want an in-house desktop solution that will work from anywhere as long as you have an Internet connection and the appropriate application installed on the Users PC?Bethany P.26 Feb 2019Hi Russel,
Either solution is acceptable from our perspective - I appreciate each will have its own benefits and detriments from a functionality and pricing perspective. That being said, it is essential that this software is consistent and up-to-date for everyone viewing it, so from this perspective having it accessible via any browser vs needing it to be downloadable on a computer may be the better option.
I am happy with either option however as long as the software itself is able to accommodate all the specifications required and is secure (accessible only to allowed users).
Many thanks.
