ello I have a complex problem and need help, over my head on this. I have attached a worksheet to help visualize it. Here is what I need to do
1. In sheet2 column A find the closest line to Sheet1 cell A1 \"12:00Z\". The value to evaluate in sheet two is before the first \"Z\" which is in this format ddhhmmZ. Then when you find the matched cell perform the following
2. Find SM which in the example is 1 place on sheet1 cell aa1, also take into account i could have fraction as you can see further down, which is part of the set, so if it was 1 1/2, then place 1 1/2 in aa1.
3. Next find the value before the first \"FEW\" \"SCT\" \"BKN\" \"OVC\" or \"VV\" and after either \"SM\" or \"FT\" and place in sheet1 cell ab1, which in the example would be \"PL BR\"
4. Next find the first \"BKN\" or \"OVC\" or \"VV\" and take the first 3 digits and place in sheet1 ac1, in the example would be 006.
5. Next i have this formula =SUBSTITUTE(TRIM(MID(Sheet4!A115,LOOKUP(2^15,FIND(\"/\",LEFT(Sheet4!A115,FIND(\"RMK\",Sheet4!A115)1),ROW(INDIRECT(\"1:\"&LEN(Sheet4!A115)))))3,3)),\"M\",\"\"), which finds the last \"/\" before \"RMK\", in the example is M04, which is converted to 04 and place this in sheet1 ad1
6. Next find \"KT\" then take the first two digits before it and place in sheet1 ae1, if there is a G in that data set like sheet2 cell a9, take the two digits before G.
7. Find \"RMK\" and place the 4 digits before it into sheet1 af1, in the example 3005, which need to convert to 30.05, so insert a decimal two spots in.
8 FInally after the \'RMK\" find the p with the four numbers after it, in cell a1 it would be 0001 and place in ag1 as 00.01.
I need this to do it all the way down to 18Z
