Hi, I'm not sure if what I am asking is possible.
I want to be able to crawl a ecommerce website to take the product name and its stock status (in stock/out of stock) and download this information.
The websites I want to take this information from are my competitors and I believe they are on an ecommerce platform like Big Commerce, Volusion, or Magento. Therefore the stock status in created dynamically from the inventory/quantity.
The products can only be viewed if you login, so the script etc will need to take this into account. I have login details into these websites which I will provide on a 1-2-1 basis.
I'm not sure if crawling the website for this information is the correct method, perhaps you will now a better way of getting this information quickly.
I will be running this method on a daily basis to now what the competitors stock status is across there whole site. So it will need to be some sort of a script/method I can run. Obviously, I have no way of being able to plug into their backend so I'n not sure how this would work.
I look forward to your thoughts and expertise to discuss further.
