Hello,
I have a very basic Access database that I have built out and am struggling to finish setting up some of the features I need. Not a lot of work needed, and I would imagine someone that knows what they're doing can do this extremely quickly.
What I am struggling with is embedding a query inside of a Form. The form is set up as a contact form, with all the usual contact information (phone number, email, etc.) on one page, and on another page of the contact form I am wanting to embed a query that will display all tasks (from a table) that are linked to that particular contact. As I scroll through the contacts, I need the tasks to switch to whichever contact is active at the time.
Also looking for help building a comment entering system. I'd like to be able to enter a new comment in, click a button, and have access automatically add it to the comment history with a date and time stamp and notation on which user entered the note.

Hi
You could use a second sub-form and link the that sub-form to the contact sub-form in the usual way. Create a text box on your main form. In the current event on the contact sub-form set the value of the text box on the main form using the me.Parent!TextBox.Value syntax to the ID value of the contact form. On the new sub-form set "Link Master Fields" to the name of the text box and "Link Child Fields" to the foreign key in the table behind the new sub-form.
