Description
Experience Level: Expert
So currently we use a paper based ledger to first log new orders & what products need to be made. We would want a version of this on a system ie excel that would be able to be updated via pc & ipad all on the same spreadsheet.
Columns for example would be
Order number - Part Number (would like preset options in this field) -
Description (should match from when you input the part number -
Options (would like preset choices in this field) -
Date received Order
Stage of Manufacture (options could be processing - partially made - completed ) When completed is chosen, I would want the entire row to move from one page on the spread sheet to a completed manufacture page. Thus the list of parts to manufacture stays relevant & does not get clogged up with completed parts.
On a 3rd page on the spreadsheet I would want a manufacture parts list. So basically this would draw from the part numbers in page one & show how many of part number xyz need making at anyone time like a tally chart. This would be most helpful for planning work for the coming weeks
I update new parts to manufacture manually as we get orders in off the website so there is no need for this to speak to any other systems.
The main concept of this really is to be as simple to use as a paper book. It would need to be able to be update able by myself on my pc, & then this spreadsheet would need to be view able on ipad for foreman in the factory who would update each parts stage of manufacture.
