Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
I would like an app developed on iOS to help log a series of drivers taking cars out for test drives.
Each driver and car will have a barcode, so the app will need to integrate with one of the barcode scanning components available for iOS, such as Zbar, ZXing (actual component to be agreed).
The user will scan the driver barcode. The app displays their name (looked up from a database downloaded earlier). The user then scans the car barcode (again looked up from a database), and selects whether the driver is taking the car out or returning it.
All actions are to be logged in a database on the device, with the time the action took place.
The app will need the facility to download the driver name and car data (e.g. we enter a URL in a 'settings' tab), and the ability to export the data afterwards (suggest either emailing a csv as an attachment, or upload to a URL).
Further functions may need to be added later, so I suggest bidders submit a fixed price for the above spec, with their hourly rate to cover any further developments required later. Both will be considered in selecting the winning bidder.
