Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
We are looking to create a simple quiz app for the ios platform (iphone to start with, then ipad if costs allow). The basic outline is it will offer you some simple information screens, follow by a quiz which will pull 10-15 questions from a larger pool. If you pass you receive a certificate if you fail you can see your results. Below is more detail(along with some mock-ups) on how we would like it work. We would provide full designs so will only need the app to be coded and then assist us with uploading to the app store.
Hopefully this is something you can help with.
We have no fixed budget but are planning to offer this free seeing as we are a not for profit organisation so would like to keep costs as low as possible.
App overview
• The basic idea for the app is a simple information refresher and quiz which pulls 10-15 questions randomly from a larger pool of questions.
• The user would be presented with a home screen where they can choose the knowledge refresher, start the quiz, view past results or view more information on the CISI. – Image 2_home
• The knowledge refresher would be a series of 10-15 screens, each would have some text and a background image (these would be static, always the same). They would work through all screens in a row and their progress would be shown in a progress in the tab bar. – Image 3_InfoScreen
• After reading the information they would start the quiz. The user would answer 15 questions pulled randomly from a larger pool. At any time they could exit the quiz and return to the home screen. All progress would be lost and they would have to start the test again. – Image 4_TestScreen - 4b_TestExit - 5_TestScreen
• At the end of the test they will presented with a score and whether they passed or failed. – Image 6_Results
• If they passed they would be able to enter their name and email address and produce a certificate. They can also view which answers they got wrong or right. We are not sure if it is possible but ideally the app would email the user a PDF certificate, If this isn’t possible a jpeg saved to the camera roll would suffice. – Image 7_ResultsCertificate
• If they failed they can only view results.
• The results screen will list all 10-15 questions showing whether they were correct or not, the user can select a question to remind themselves what the questions was, it will not give them the correct answer, it will just show the answer they selected and whether it was right or wrong. – Image 8_ResultsDetails – 9_ResultsCorrect – 9_Results_Wrong
You will find the aforementioned mockups in the attached PDF along with a simple flow chart showing the flow through the app.
Hopefully this is enough information to provide a quote but if you need any further information please let me know.
