Digital Marketing Expert

Hi there,
I run a small ethnic makeup company. The company has been operating for over 10 years however, we have been struggling in the last couple of years as sales have continued to drop. We sell through retail stores and on our website. We currently wholesale to roughly 28 ethnic beauty shops in the UK, 1 in France, 2 in Germany, 2 in Belgium and 2 in Africa.

We did TV ads for many years on ethnic TV channels without really seeing any uplift in sales so I stopped it last year. We do free makeovers in selected shops every Friday and Saturdays to drive sales in-store. We advertise on Facebook and we have Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts which is currently being managed by a digital marketing person.

Our target market is 18-35 years old. Our market is really niche so it is really hard to reach the target audience. Our digital marketing in the form of Facebook ads is driving a lot of traffic to the website. I am told the conversion is good but there hasn’t been any significant uplift in sales.

My objective is to increase the number of retail stores that sell our products in the UK, Europe and West Africa. We also need to grow online sales from areas where we do not have store representation, they can buy from our website. Our website address is www.dorismichaelscosmetics.com

We used to supply more retail stores in the UK than we currently do, but we had to scale back because a lot of the retail stores were not paying their invoices on time. Even though the payment terms is strictly 30 days, majority took more than 90 days to pay, others paid after we submitted court papers. Collecting payment is a real problem in this sector!

Our marketing is clearly not working so we are looking for a digital marketing expert to handle this aspect of the operation. The person must have expertise in marketing across all social media platforms.
