Description
Experience Level: Entry
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Internet or Social Media knowledgeable professionals and Website Testers are needed to do research and provide advice:
The Web form on a Google site periodically stops working when gathering shared links from Facebook.
*** Required skills:
- Understanding of how to share a webpage on Facebook and obtain the shared link
- Understanding of how to fill out a Google form
*** The scenario:
RealSkilled is a website created with Google Sites.
The home page contains details about a contest.
Users are required to share the website's home page as part of the contest process. Then, they must clipboard-copy the link to the post in which they shared the RealSkilled home page.
The URL to the post must be placed into the Google form provided on the site's home page.
Sharing the website on Facebook and submitting the online form with the link to the post should work fine.
However, some users are reporting that the form occasionally rejects submissions and shows a message that looks like this:
Error: Data validation failed.
Error: Invalid permalink supplied.
What we expect you to do:
*** Task 1: (Prior to applying for the job)
Recreate the error:
a) Share the RealSkilled home page on a social networking platform. (Facebook, ...)
b) Take the URL of your post and fill out the form with it and the other required fields.
Steps a) and b) should be repeated until you obtain the mentioned or a similar error.
*** Task 2: (Once you've been hired,)
- Please provide us with the specifics and cause of the issue.
- Please advise us on how to resolve the problem.
That's all!
Note: Do not apply if you cannot demonstrate that you completed Task 1.
If we do not see such proof in your application, we will reject it and you will not be considered for future opportunities.
