Description
Experience Level: Entry
Facebook Reels Editor — Food & Lifestyle Niche (Long-Term, Results-Driven)
I run The Mayfair Foodie, a food and restaurant brand with 200+ published articles at mayfairfoodie.com and a growing Facebook page. I'm looking for an experienced reels editor to produce 2–3 reels per week on an ongoing basis.
What I have:
A large library of high-quality, Lightroom-edited food photography from real London restaurants
200+ articles covering recipes, restaurant reviews, and food culture
Raw video footage from restaurant visits (growing as we work together)
Clear content direction and briefs for every reel
What I need:
The reels will follow three proven formats:
'Worth it or not' verdicts — short, opinionated takes on dishes and restaurants, text overlay or voiceover-driven
Food fact hooks — bold opening text, visuals, fast pacing — designed to stop the scroll in the first 2 seconds
Debate/engagement prompts — question-led reels with food imagery, designed to drive comments
The goal is not aesthetic — it is performance. I need someone who understands how Facebook (not just Instagram) distributes reels, and who thinks about hook strength, watch completion rate, and engagement as primary metrics.
You should apply if you:
Have a portfolio of food, lifestyle, or hospitality reels with measurable engagement results
Understand the difference between Facebook and Instagram reel optimisation
Can establish and maintain a consistent visual style across the content
Are comfortable working from still photography as well as video footage
Can turn around finished reels within 48 hours of receiving a brief
Please include in your application:
Examples of food or lifestyle reels you have edited (links preferred)
Your rate per reel, and whether you offer a package rate for ongoing volume
A brief note on your editing approach — specifically how you approach the opening hook
I am looking for one person to work with consistently over the long term. Volume will increase as the page grows. This is a results-based relationship — strong performers will get more work.
