Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Estimated project duration: 1 - 2 weeks
I'm looking for a skilled and committed social media campaign manager to work 1-2 hours a day for an initial 1-2 weeks, and for up to a total of 6 weeks, starting as soon as possible.
The campaign will raise funds to complete production of an inspirational documentary about South Sudan's wheelchair basketball team, a film that I've been working on since 2012.
I'm a foreign affairs journalist and filmmaker with clients including the BBC, ITN, Reuters, The Financial Times, The Independent and Al Jazeera. I'm also the founder of London-based independent film production company Four Freedom Films (www.fourfreedomfilms.com).
I'm passionate about this documentary, which tells the story of a group of former child soldiers who survived war, disability, poverty and exile to form a wheelchair basketball team that is an inspiration to a country that only came into existence in 2011.
Production trips for the film to date have taken me to South Sudan, Kenya and Ethiopia. Funds raised in the forthcoming campaign will go towards the next production trip in November 2018, when the team will be trained by a world-renowned wheelchair basketball coach.
I'm looking for an enthusiastic and diligent social media campaign manager to pro-actively build an audience for the documentary, engage with connections and find sources of funding and support for the campaign.
The work will involve developing active engagement with the campaign and creating connections that lead to sources of funding, primarily on Twitter (https://twitter.com/LionsTigersFilm), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/lionsandtigersfilm/) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/lionsandtigersfilm/?hl=en), as well as on Gmail, Google+ and LinkedIn.
The work will be for an initial 1-2 week period beginning as soon as possible, with work for up to a further 4-5 weeks by mutual agreement.
Needless to say, you will have a track record of success in social media development, faultless English language skills and an instinctive ability to engage with people online and build constructive relationships.
Campaign management experience would be a bonus, as would an ability to contribute to campaign strategy and posting tactics.
I look forward to hearing from you!
