individual report must be typed and is limited to less than 2000 words, excluding the
references and appendices.
Evaluate the web analytics of East Sussex County Council

and make recommendations to maximise its performance in any aspect related to its strategic
goals.
You can make use of any of the varied web analytics concepts, methods and tools we have
covered in the module. You also have access to the website Google Analytics. You cannot set
any reports up but you can see the data in the existing reporting format.

Coursework Marketing Criteria
The criteria used to assess the individual assignment will be as follows.
1) Use of academic journals and books
2) Evaluation and choice of metrics used
3) Acknowledgement of limitations and gaps in theory
Application and Analysis (30%)
1) What can you find out from these data sources to justify any recommendations that you
make? Be critical of the data and acknowledge any limitations that your data sources may
have.
2) Use screen grabs to illustrate the points you are making.
Recommendations (30%)
1) Ensure the recommendations you propose are specific, measureable, actionable, relative
and timely2
2) Acknowledge any assumptions you may need to make
3) Highlight missing information required
Structure and Presentation (20%)
1) Use of Harvard APA Referencing
2) This is report so consider the use of font, white space and headings
Questions that may assist when judging the submitted piece of work:
1) Have you used a broad range of sources, some of which were outside of the module
materials?
2) Have you placed the choice of metrics in context of the organisation and the market?
3) Have you clearly used Harvard APA referencing to show your sources of information?
4) Is the document free from error both typographical and in terms of layout?
Poor answers will be largely descriptive in terms of analysis with little or no interpretation or
evaluation of the metrics provided through a choice of sources with little academic foundation or
underpinning.
Mid range answers will provide some insight and analysis to the data provided but will lack the
attention required to link either to the underlying academic theory or to meaningful and
actionable recommendations.
Good answers will bring together the core academic theories provided in the literatures and
literature with an insightful analysis of the analytics in context of market and organisation to
present a series of recommendations that will add value to the organisation
price negotiable depending on outcome of project
references and appendices.
