I have been working with a client to arrange a new design for a website. The design is based on a responsive template from themeforest. We need to take the design and merge the custom elements into the template:
• Logo
• Colours
• Menu options
• Custom right hand navigation with icons
• Mega-menu
• Content areas
• Etc...
There will be a core template with header and footer. The body area of the site is split into three columns: x2 columns for content and x1 column for navigation.
Using the core structure, various types of content pages will be built
• Homepage
• Content page – ability to have various combinations of content in the page. For example One large column with no navigation; one medium column with a navigation column; two columns with a navigation column;
• Contact page
• Contact form page
• Blog/News List
• Blog detail page
• Gallery page
• Member Listing
• Member Profile
• Video Listing
• Video Page
Custom components include
• Login
• Contact form
• Twitter freed
• Search
• Filter by tags (similar to search?)
• Archive Listing
• Tags
• Etc...
The final step will be to put template(s) into the current site. We will need to see that the content will work in the constructed template(s).
