Job Description/Skills
There are two main aspects of this role – assistance with social media tasks and administrative duties.
Key responsibilities:
• Devise and implement the social media strategy
• Manage social media campaigns and day-to-day activities. Duties include online support, writing editorial, promotions, etc.
• Manage and monitor presence in social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter, and other similar community sites, posting on relevant blogs, and seeding content into social applications as needed
• Engage and communicate with past, potential and future customers through social media platforms
• Help promote positive customer relationships through written online communications
• Help track overall marketing efficiency through on-going analysis of existing social media platforms, and identify new developments in online social media platforms
• Collate user feedback to identify and analyse customer trends, opportunities and potential future markets
• Liaising with various departments and customers to provide a full customer solution
• Management of post, e-mails and any other customer queries
• Screening telephone calls and handling enquiries
• Organising and maintaining office systems
• Undertaking project work as required
Essential skills:
• Excellent understanding of online social networking
• Ability to think and write creatively on any issue
• Good verbal communication skills and an understanding of customer’s needs
• Basic understanding of SEO
• Familiarisation with Flash and Photoshop
• Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to multi task, work to deadlines, and prioritise workload efficiently
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent administrative skills including experience in Excel
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work
• The ability to work on your own initiative
• Tact and discretion, for dealing with confidential information
• A positive ‘can do’ attitude
