Background
Landing.jobs is an European tech hiring marketplace based on curated candidates and tech job offers from top startups and firms. We’re a platform focused on creating the perfect match between talents and the platforms that need them the most.
Research Objectives
We want to deeply understand the tech jobs market in key European territories for us to have the maximum impact in our marketing outreach.
We consider “tech job offers” falling into any of the following categories::
Back-end Developer
Business Applications (BI/CRM/ERP)
Data Scientist
DevOps / Sysadmin
Electronics and Telecommunications
Front-end Developer
Full-stack Developer
Maintenance & Support
Marketing & Communications
Mobile Apps Developer
Product/Project Management
Sales & Operations
UX / UI Designer
Video / Motion Graphics
We’re looking to understand more about the tech recruitment market through a deep dive into the numbers with strong insights for our business in these cities:
London
Cambridge
Dublin
Amsterdam
Berlin
Barcelona
Madrid
Warsow
Krakow
Edinburg
Research scope / requirements
Number of open positions by category and typically how they are filled (job board, recruiter, internal referrals, etc)
Distribution of open positions by category
Distribution of industries looking for tech people
Is there enough local demand to fill the open positions?
Trending job roles and companies with any growth metrics
Best and worst companies to work for
Do companies look for remote workers?
Which are the top 5 local job boards to find tech jobs
Which are the top 5 non-local job boards to find tech jobs
Which are the top 10 blogs or sites to find relevant tech job market news
Which conferences and meetups are worth to attending
Immigration/emigration trends for each geography - for example people from Dublin going to London, or people from Serbia looking for jobs in Barcelona; if yes, what are the main reasons? How are these people being informed and communicating about these opportunities?
Methodologies
Qualitative - smaller groups in depth discussions (8 people)
Quantitative - Typeform surveys sent to target groups (we can assist via intercom messaging to our own users)
Deliverables
The deliverable should be a document with the answer for the previous questions for each city. We want something well presented so everyone can read and understand. We want *actionable* insights for each, and any strong themes that we can unify and create marketing activities for that tie back to our offering. We’re expecting something in a document and presentation format with sources indicated so we can dig more deep into something if we need.
