I run a company that sells Rock Salt to Business & Consumers for protecting outdoor areas such as car parks, walkways and driveways from snow & ice build up.
I am looking for a freelance sales professional who can fill two roles for me whilst working from their own premises and providing their own telephone services;
1 - contact previous customers (contact details provided by myself) to make resales. I have several hundred phone numbers and email addresses that will make this process very easy. A high percentage of these customers will be seeking to place orders immediately and will represent some of the easiest sales calls you will ever make.
Commission payable on these sales is 3% with a typical sale being around £400, ranging from £100-10,000+. I have around 400 leads for you to work through to get you started and would be disappointed with less than 200 sales.
These easy sales will help familiarise yourself with the product and our processes and gear you up nicely for the second element of this job.
2 - Cold call B2B sales
We are the cheapest retailer of our product in the UK. This makes selling the product (which is a vital product for many types of business every winter) fairly easy compared to more complicated or unfamiliar products.
This particular business has a real 'stack em high and sell em cheap' strategy and I can honestly say its the most simple product to sell I have ever come across. Prospects know instantly if its a product they need, and since rock salt is rock salt and all comes from pretty much the same place, there are no brand considerations or anything like that. It usually comes down to cost and I have rarely encountered a situation where we cannot undercut their existing deals.
I can give you some excellent ideas about where to source leads and what their needs are likely to be.
This part of the job boils down to this; you search the internet for leads, making telephone contact and closing sales.
Commission for new sales is 10%.
With such a simple product, the sales script is almost non-existent and you will grasp it within an hour.
There is only one product, it just comes in different bag sizes and different quantities.
All I need from you is a completed Order Form (provided) emailed to me for each order. I also expect meticulous records of the calls you have made in Excel and this emailed at the end of each day displaying the hours you have worked.
This position requires an immediate start.
Required hours are 25-30 hours per week, initially for 3 months (well until Christmas really) and subject to renewal in the New Year.
I will require an invoice for all hours worked and commissions and these will be paid at the end of each month.
