Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to generate new business opportunities and secure commercial energy contracts with UK businesses.
This position is only suitable for candidates with previous experience selling energy, utilities, or related B2B services to UK businesses.
The successful candidate must have excellent spoken and written English, be confident speaking with UK business owners and decision-makers, and possess a strong understanding of the UK commercial energy market.
Essential Requirements
UK Market Experience (Mandatory)
Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial energy sales, utility brokerage, energy consultancy, or a related B2B sales role targeting UK businesses.
Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals with UK companies.
Strong understanding of UK business gas and electricity contracts, renewals, and procurement processes.
Experience speaking directly with UK business owners, directors, and decision-makers.
English Communication Skills (Mandatory)
Fluent English with a clear and professional speaking voice.
Excellent verbal communication skills suitable for telephone and video sales.
Strong written English for emails, proposals, and client communications.
Ability to build rapport and conduct professional business conversations with UK-based clients.

Key Responsibilities
Prospect and engage UK businesses via telephone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
Generate qualified leads and develop a consistent sales pipeline.
Conduct energy reviews and identify cost-saving opportunities for clients.
Present commercial energy solutions and negotiate contracts.
Build long-term relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
Meet and exceed monthly sales and revenue targets.
Maintain accurate records within the company CRM system.
Stay informed about UK energy market trends and supplier offerings.
Work closely with management to achieve business growth objectives.
Desired Skills
Commercial energy brokerage experience.
Utility sales experience.
B2B telesales experience within the UK market.
CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, etc.).
Strong objection-handling and closing skills.
