I run a UK based accounting practice.
What I am looking for is for someone that will basically generate new clients of the firm.
Firstly - there will be calling our current database (who have not been clients or bought from us before but do receive email newsletters etc) and either arranging a face-to-face meeting with me, telephone call with me or (softly) getting them to sign up as a client on the phone there and then - I need to stress I am NOT wanting someone to hard sell - this is about relationship building. If we are to become their accountant we adopt a role of trusted advisor, not bully.
Secondly - there will be cold local businesses - which I can provide a list of - these people may not have a clue who I am but the end aim is the same
Thirdly - you will be expected to use initiative and identify and approach businesses - we deal with businesses all over the UK so any geographical area in the UK is fine
Ideally you will get to the stage where you are able to "close" the new client on the phone without them having to speak to me, but initially I expect that you might need to warm them up then transfer the call to a me to discuss various technical aspects they may have questions about.
The pay would be hourly and I envisage for the right candidate there may be a bonus for successful new clients coming on board.
I stress again - I do not want to work with someone who does a hard sell - this is very much about making friends on the phone with them. Previous sales/telesales experience is essential and English should be your first language. Experience in the accounting sector would be very helpful too.
I expect this to be an ongoing position and calling hours will be 10am-4pm Monday - Friday
