Hi,
I need to produce a 1.5 to 2 minute video montage of dramatic and fast-paced news stories about palm oil. The aim is to show the increasing pressure and damage caused by palm oil over the last few decades.
I am thinking of something as follows:
- beginning with archive news footage and/or footage of palm oil plantations/deforestation/logging and destruction
- news clips from any stories about palm oil e.g. forest fires, dead orangutan and elephants, more land being sold to palm oil plantations, more species going extinct etc. Old stuff is ok but then more recent footage and news clips about the latest forest fires in SE Asia from just the past few weeks would be great.
- radio and/or news voices talking over each over about palm oil, deforestation, extinction of species, scientists' concerns
- any statistics about the amount of palm oil demand or the amount of forest being lost, predictions for the future
- all very fast-paced
Music is not necessary as I have plans for that but if you wanted to include it that would be fine.
I have some footage that may be helpful to give an idea of what sort of thing could be included.
I also have the current intro - basically it's too long and slow and not up to date. So it needs to be similar but more news-based, more recent and faster (2 mins).
THIS IS AN URGENT JOB WHICH NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED BY 8AM MONDAY MORNING (There is time after this to review and change as needed but it needs to be a fairly polished cut).
I realise this is a very tight deadline and the job requires a lot of research, but if you are able to help I will be extremely grateful and will definitely use you again in the future for more regular jobs as well as recommending you to all my contacts in the industry. Even just a rough cut at this stage would be better than nothing although of course the more finished it is, the better.
Please contact me asap if you can help with an offer of how much you could do it for. Please note I am a student and this is for a conservation piece so it's not funded, so I don't have a budget, but if you can make a reasonable offer I will do my best to meet it.
Many, many thanks in advance for your help.
