Description
Description:
We are a growing software and digital agency that builds high-performance websites and provides SEO/marketing services for US clients across multiple industries. A large part of our clients have or want to have niche websites with SEO-optimized content for lead generation strategies, or informative/display advertising purposes.
We’re looking for an SEO specialist(s) (freelancer(s) or potential in-house hire) to join our team. You should be skilled in niche research, keyword analysis, SERP validation, and monetization strategy. You’ll be part of our SEO team that identifies low-competition opportunities and execute strategies that turn them into valuable assets for our clients.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct keyword and niche research
Evaluate SERPs, backlink profiles, and content gaps
Develop topical maps and keyword clusters
Recommend monetization models (ads, affiliate, lead gen, listings, etc.)
Work with designers and content writers to build or scale SEO-optimized websites
Technical Task (Required with Application):
To be considered, please submit the following:
Choose 1-2 niche ideas suitable for building a local or national SEO-driven website. You have complete freedom here and NOTE: there is no right or wrong approach and you are free to use any tools you like or need to achieve the goal.
Include a brief research report (bullet points with screenshots are fine) covering:
Estimated search volume and keyword difficulty (Ahrefs or similar)
Analysis of SERP competitors and their weaknesses
Notable content gaps or poor UX you observed
Basic monetization model you’d use (ads, featured listings, lead gen, etc.)
Any extra insights you think matter (Reddit signals, CPC, backlinks, etc.)
Use These Criteria to Guide Your Research:
Keyword Difficulty:
Target: 0–30 (Low to Mid difficulty)
Search Volume:
Main keyword: 20,000 – 30,000+ monthly searches
Variants + long-tails: Should combine into strong overall volume
Competition (Backlinks & Authority):
Top ranking sites should have:
Few or weak backlinks
Low domain authority (avoid giants like Yelp, TripAdvisor, etc.)
No more than ~2,000 indexed pages
Poor UX or missing features that we can outperform
Monetization Potential (Traffic Value):
indicates commercial interest
The niche should allow for:
Display ads (for high traffic, low intent niches)
Lead generation or paid listings (for B2B or service-focused niches)
Bonus if you include:
A sample content cluster or sitemap idea
Suggestions for monetization (e.g., affiliate offers, paid placements, local leads)
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience with Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and/or similar tools
Understanding of search intent and topical authority
Proven track record in SEO strategy
Strong attention to detail and ability to justify SEO decisions with data
Bonus: Experience working in or building niche content sites
To Apply:
Send your response to the tech task above. We’ll review all and reach out to top candidates for a paid trial or interview.
Looking forward to growing our team with sharp minds who know how to spot and scale SEO opportunities.

Hi Violet,
+ Are there any specific industries or niches you want to focus on, or is the scope open to any market?
+ Should the SEO strategy include both on-page and off-page techniques (e.g., content optimization, backlinks)?
+ Do you have preferred tools for competitor analysis, or are freelancers allowed to use their own (Ahrefs, SEMrush, etc.)?
+ How much collaboration is expected with the design and content teams?
+ Are there any particular SEO trends or tactics (e.g., voice search, E-A-T) that should be prioritized in your strategy?
Thank you!

Would you prefer niche ideas focused on local lead generation, or are you currently prioritizing national SEO opportunities for content-based monetization?
