We’re a fast-growing UK consumer membership business focused on building joyful, community-led, in-person experiences and we’re looking for a freelance community building / member engagement specialist to help us create a world-class community experience.
This role is all about belonging, retention and engagement. We already have strong customer demand, but we want an expert who can help us design and optimise the full member experience - from welcome email/SMS journeys and onboarding flows, through to community touchpoints, engagement campaigns, and digital spaces where members genuinely connect with each other. We want someone who understands how to turn paying customers into passionate advocates.
You should have proven experience building engaged communities for membership brands, subscriptions, events, clubs, or consumer communities. Experience with email/SMS lifecycle marketing, community platforms (Facebook Groups, WhatsApp, etc.), retention strategy, and customer journey design is highly desirable.
Please include examples of communities or brands you’ve helped grow, what you specifically worked on and the impact you delivered.
