Description
Experience Level: Expert
To design a website for a new company manufacturing bespoke frames (a registered design) specifically designed for displaying comics. The company is called Stasis, which means:
\"An artificial pause that stops all physical and chemical processes, including that of life; they resume as if uninterrupted as soon as the stasis is ended.\"
This ties in perfectly with the design and purpose of the frames, which allows collectors to display their comics safely (in Stasis) instead of storing them in the usual boxes. The added advantage being the ability to take them out (of Stasis) when needed for reading or replacing.
The frame design: wide black gloss Perspex border with a clear Perspex cover (obviously) giving both a stylish look and finish.
I have purchased both into-stasis.co.uk and .com domains for my website and hope to ship worldwide (UK, Europe, America and Australia).
The website brief:
Must fit with the logo (attached)
Clean
Stylish
Font: bank gothic. Its clean, nicely spaced and solid yet cool with a slight comic text feel to it.
Must be simple to navigate.
No/minimal scrolling!
A simple checkout accepting card and paypal payments with clear postage costs (if required).

I have an idea for simple logo animation.
Target audience:
Comic fans
Collectors
Someone looking for something cool

There is no one offering the same level of consideration and style for the framing of comics that Stasis is, this includes the materials used, which are acid free and have high UV protection.
Stasis is firmly aimed at the comic industry to start with, hopefully expanding to include magazines and record LPs etc at a later date.
At the moment there are only a handful of companies (all American) offering comic framing. These are usually framers who happen to list comic framing as well. The frames are the same wood construction you would find with any other picture frame.
Comic framers websites
Probably the biggest competition (but only in America),
