New Website

We have a requirement to find a web developer with a strong background in Design and Front-end Development to create a sleek new website. The ideal person will have a definite emphasis on design and enough technical knowledge to make the idea a reality. A portfolio of work will be required to apply.

Technical Skills Needed

Strong HTML and CSS hand coding skills – a simple web page with pencil and paper test may be requested.

JavaScript & jQuery hand coding skills

WordPress Experience / WordPress Theme Building Experience

Some PHP experience for backend functionality for WordPress.



Design Skills

General Web Design / Interface Design

User Experience Design (normally seen in job descriptions as UX design)

Mobile responsive design

Wireframing and prototyping

Knowledge of HTML/CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap – important for quick prototyping when the real build will be going into a CMS

Be highly competent in either Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator for design and layout.

Browser testing
