Description
Experience Level: Entry
I am looking for a one-time SEO optimization for your London tour guide website ( www.bespokelondontours.co.uk)— basically:
Run a Google test (likely Google PageSpeed Insights + Mobile-Friendly test) to see what’s missing.
Add missing meta tags, titles, descriptions, schema, and keywords.
Optimize on-page SEO (headings, alt text, internal linking, etc.).
Insert targeted keywords (e.g. “London private tour guide”, "food tours London “walking tours in London”, “London sightseeing guide”).
Provide you with a report so your site is well-optimized in one go.
A one-shot job like this usually includes:
Technical audit (speed, mobile, indexing).
Content audit (titles, headings, meta descriptions).
Keyword research for high-value search terms.
On-page optimization (where to add those terms).
Local SEO basics (Google Maps / Business Profile recommendations).
Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, Ahrefs (if possible) to check search volume + difficulty.
Images & Media
Make sure all images have descriptive alt text (e.g. “London Tower Bridge view at sunset”, “Anthony guiding tour group at Borough Market”).
Compress images for faster loading.
Use lazy loading if many images.
Mobile / Speed Optimization
Run Google PageSpeed Insights for desktop & mobile. Address issues: image compression, browser caching, minifying CSS/JS, reduce server response time.
Ensure the site is responsive, buttons are clickable, font sizes readable etc.
Internal Linking
Link between related tours (e.g. from “classic tour” page to hidden gems page, food tours, etc.) using keyword-rich anchor text.
Possibly have a blog or tips page (“Best markets in London”, “Hidden gems guide”) to attract informational searches and link to tours.
Local SEO & Reviews
Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone) is clear, consistent across site & Google My Business.
Encourage reviews on Google, TripAdvisor etc; display excerpts of good reviews on site.
Add Map embed or directions if you have a physical meeting point.
Sitemap / Robots / SEO basics
Make sure XML sitemap exists, submitted to Google Search Console.
Ensure robots.txt is correct.
Set canonical URLs if multiple paths to same page.
Use SSL / HTTPS (likely already in place).
Content Optimization
For each tour page: include a short intro, what to expect, what’s included, price, duration, meeting point etc—all clearly.
Use headings (H1, H2, H3) appropriately. The main keyword in H1. Subtopics in H2/H3.
Monitoring
Set up Google Search Console (if not already), monitor for errors, mobile usability, indexing.
Use Google Analytics or another tracking tool to see traffic drops or gains after changes.

Hi Anthony,
- Do you already have Google Search Console and Analytics set up for your site?
- Are there any specific tours or pages you want to prioritize for SEO?
- Do you have preferred keywords or should I perform full keyword research?
