Hello!
I am looking for UK based designers (all others will be immediately rejected so please do not bid if you are based outside the UK) to design my new brand. Please note that designers from Craggy Island will be classified as UK residents for the purposes of this project.
Having operated my small business for sometime, I've made the decision to expand and develop!
So what is the business?
The business is accountancy related and will feature three strands, one will be a general brand to which most people will be directed, one will be targeted towards two particular B2B markets and the third is for a niche market specific to Scotland.
What am I looking for?
I would like all three strands of the business to use the same basic idea but be slightly different so as to differentiate. (Think how the co-op used to use Orange for Travel, Purple for Funerals, Green for Food shops etc but the type was the same or as another example everyone knows the Virgin Brand but there are differences in Virgin Trains, Virgin Money etc and ditto for easyJet, easyHotel etc)
I am being particularly vague about the nature of the work I do here so as to try and intrigue someone who wants to have a bit of free reign but simultaneously put off those who are going to want everything spelled out. I have no fixed ideas about what I want to see other than what I've said, no colours, no restrictions it's all going to be fun.
What do I need from you?
I need to see some samples of brands/concepts you have designed, if you have a portfolio in your profile, feel free to direct me there to save you uploading loads of files again) with your proposal and I'll take a look. You don't have to have done accountancy design work in the past as far as I'm concerned you can be fresh out of college or be a world class designer, it makes no difference to me, I need your creativity and skill. Not someone who does the same thing every day for the same people in the same place.
If you're awarded the project, I will be looking for a maximum of 3 concepts, which I'll narrow down to one. I need to be able to make use of them on websites and stationery (so will need high quality files). I would like at least a couple of revisions if needed (though hopefully we can work together well enough so that it won't be necessary). I would also like to ensure that all creative rights are transferred to me in perpetuity (or at least until a polymorph eats my brain).
What will you receive?
Most importantly, the cash! Once you've been accepted for the job, I'll provide all the details about the company (who we are, what we do etc). Aside from that and the cash, you'll also receive entertaining emails/messages, a distinct lack of direction or suggestion at the outset (let those creative juices flow), an outrageous number of Father Ted/Red Dwarf quotes (and what would you say to a cup?) and an all round charmer of a job poster.
Why aren't I providing all the details here?
Well, I don't really know what I'm looking for in terms of style, colour so by seeking out someone to inspire me with their portfolio or an example of their work I am hoping I'll see something I like and will work with that person to draw out the best design.
Why should I spend credits giving a proposal if you won't tell me everything?
Ah, that old chestnut. I've used PPH a lot as a freelancer and I know the frustration when someone rejects your proposal but I also know that with the right words and (in this case) the right level of creativity you can catch my eye and that makes this project open to everyone. I don't care if you've bought credits or are using free credits, what I'm interested in is finding someone creative (and funny would be a bonus) who can help me take my business from here to there! So you should spend credits proposing because this is going to be fun (and a little bit funny). Down with this sort of thing.
I look forward to hearing from you and discussing important matters like why Lancashire Cheese is better than all other cheeses and why you never really see Lilt anymore.

Hi Scott, I live part time France, part time Uk, is it worth my applying?
Scott P.19 Feb 2019Hi,
Thanks for your message. Unfortunately I am looking for someone who is based solely in the UK so no, not worth you making an application.
