Description
Experience Level: Expert
Estimated project duration: less than 1 week
Hi, I need an experienced graphic designer to create a logo for a UK car garage business. The owner of the business is my friend and wants to start advertising so needs a logo. He has an idea and needs your creativity and expertise to turn it into reality!
Background
The Owner of the garage is called Gregor. He is polish and has been running the garage for about three years. He is a very experienced mechanic and knows his trade well. At the moment the garage does car/van servicing, bodywork, engine replacements etc. The garage is based on a farm in Essex and Gregor works with one apprentice. You can view the google maps profile here https://goo.gl/maps/U4j39r6sNg4bMhC57
Gregor wants to increase the number of customers and specialise in servicing and restorations of classic cars. He is a typical rocker, into guns and roses, makes his own moonshine. His logo should represent his personality as well as the brand for the business.
Requirements
- This business name is 'GBW Garage' and this will be incorporated into the logo.
- Attached is a hand drawn 'piston' (GBW-piston.jpg) which needs to be turned into an electronic image. Also attached is an image of a real piston (piston.jpg) for your reference. The Piston character's face should represent his 'crazy' personality!
- The current idea is to combine two pistons and two spanners (wrenches) to create a 'W'. Then have the 'G' and 'B' above the W and the word Garage beneath. Please see the hand drawn approximation (GBW-Garage-mockup.jpg) for orientation.
- It would be great to add roses curling around the spanners, a bit like the guns and roses logo (reference https://1000logos.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Guns-N-Roses-Logo-768x480.png ).
- The GBW Garage logo, with the two pistons for the W is the current idea, we are also open to other ideas you may have.
Delivery
The expectation is for you to deliver the following (happy to discuss variations or improvements you may want to suggest).
- 2 x re-sizeable (vector?) images of the piston
- 2 x re-sizeable (vector?) images of the complete logo
- the two versions of each image: black background with white text, white background with black text
- on all images the tongue of the piston will be red
- two revisions once we see the the initial proposal
About You
- an experienced logo/graphic designer
- has worked on similar projects
- happy to collaborate on revisions to create the best outcome
Many thanks for reading the project proposal, please reply with an questions you have.
