Hello Logo designers,
I am looking for a high quality logo design for my new web site (which is currently under construction).
My current web site www.londonpremierwalkingtours.co.uk has the style & colouring of the new logo which I'd like you to design. I'm attaching the file of that design but please do not copy & paste it as I'd like a brand new design, albeit something that looks very similar and with the same colour scheme.
The new logo will be about 2.5 x the dimension of the old one relative to the size of a web page so needs to be high quality.
The main difference between the new logo and the old one is that underneath "LONDON" the new logo needs to say "Tours and Treasure Hunts" instead of "Premier Walking Tours".
I would also like an animated Gif version as well as the still frame version. The animated version is the one that I will be using for the web site and the still frame versions I will be using on printed material off line advertising brochures etc.
The animations I'd like please are the clock hands of Big Ben turning from midnight to 3 pm, The London Eye wheel spinning round & the London Bus traveling in a straight line & stopping next to The London Eye. (I'm not sure how the bus gets back to its starting position afterwards, perhaps it doesn't until the page is refreshed)
It would also be good when the hands of Big Ben move to 3 pm that a sound file of Big Ben chiming is played simultaneously. I may need to consult with my web site developer about this or maybe this is something that you can fully integrate into the Gif itself?
I don't want all 3 of these animations to happen simultaneously, so I would like them to happen in sequence, perhaps at 3 second intervals.
I'm also open to you as a logo designer suggesting/designing any improvements/add ons above and beyond what I am asking for.
For example it would be nice maybe also to have one of the "Ns" in LONDON (the first one I think is best) to be an image of Tower Bridge. Tower Bridge broadly looks like the letter N, apart from the lack of a top left to bottom right diagonal line across it.
Although I am useless at actual drawing and artistic skills, I am a good ideas person (the concept of my old logo was my idea), so I have an idea that perhaps to get Tower Bridge to look like the letter N you could have a ship sailing under it which stops underneath the bridge, and maybe something like the ship's mast forming the diagonal line to make it look like the letter N.
I think this is possible or maybe you have another idea which involves the bridge going up or down to form the letter N or another idea all together about how to make Tower Bridge look like the letter N.
I am also open to any other design or styling suggestions that will improve the logo, as long as the basic overall look and feel of the branding remains intact.
I mentioned 2.5 x the area (approximately) of my old logo because on my new web site it will just be the logo at the top of the page and one line of extra text (not part of the logo) below it, there will not be the big blue banner, so the logo will have much more space to fill and so be larger and more prominent on the new web site.
This means for example that the clock face of Big Ben can have more detailed definition of the clock hands giving scope for animating them.
My web site developer has specified that for the new logo I will need the JPEG version, the PNG version and the full Adobe illustrated version in Vector format and in EPS or AI version. Basically in all versions so that it can be used on web sites as well as in off line print format and so that all usage options are open for me.
I also need the Gif animated version. If the still versions for technical or design reasons differ slightly from the Gif version then this is fine.
If u can also include Facebook & Twitter header versions of the still image this would b good.
I would be pleased to take proposals from Logo designers and it would be useful to see some examples of previous logos you have designed including some that have animation.
I have stated a fee I will pay as £20 per hour. Before agreeing the work with you I would like to set a fixed price and the price range I am prepared to pay is between £75 and £150.
Once we have agreed the fixed price I will pay you 1/3rd of the it straight after we have agreed the design brief, and the other 2/3rds on completion of the project.
I am prepared to pay a fair price for a high quality job and you can see if you look at my current project here on PPH that I am and have already made advance payments to my web site developer at the start of the project.
(My company has been established for 3 years.)
So please send me your proposal along with the fixed price at which you can complete the project.
I would like the logo design to be completed by 2 weeks from now.
Thank you and kind regards,
Cliff
