Description
Experience Level: Intermediate
Information for the business: Travel Guide Website
Industry: Lifestyle/Travel
Brand name/slogan in logo: Orlando Oracle or OO
Number of revisions: 5
Ideas for the visual style: See notes below
Preferred colors: Orange or Orange and Blue
Where the design will be used: web and print
Extra notes: Shortly, I am going to start work on building a website which will be an Orlando travel guide for holidaymakers visiting Florida. It will cover theme parks, beaches, villas, hotels, restaurants, flights, car hire, wildlife and other attractions in and around Orlando. The site will be the 'OrlandoOracle.com' and I need an attractive logo for the website which can also be used on business cards and letterheads if necessary. As you probably know, one of the meanings of 'Oracle' is as a respository of knowledge.
Some ideas that may help:
The site is primarily aimed at UK holidaymakers.
UK holidaymakers like going to sunny destinations
Florida is famous for sunshine, oranges, theme parks, the space programme and beaches
The sun has an 'o' shape, so does an 'orange', the famous EPCOT golfball is an 'o' shape and so is the newly opened Orlando Eye. I wondered if some of this could be incorporated into the double 'O' of OrlandoOracle.
The letter 'o' at the start of each word may also be put together to look like spectacles with perhaps the 'rlando' bit being the bit that goes over the bridge of the nose and the 'racle' bit making part of the arm that goes over the ears. Spectacles suggest study and knowledge.
You may feel just using the 'OO' in a creative way can get the message across. I'm looking for bright vibrant holiday colours which will show up well in a website and on printed material (Orange, blue etc.)
Would you be able to quote me a price for designing a colourful, eye-catching logo which visually incorporates Orlando clearly as a holiday destination while also making visual reference to the 'Oracle' part?
Would you please quote me for the job including providing artwork of a quality we could use in printing and also incorporating a number of amendments to the design?
Many thanks.
Kind regards.
Brian
